About Us
Farm Fresh Eggs
At Bullfrog Manor Farm, every chicken has a name and personality. We pay special attention to each one individually. Each month, we feature a "chicken of the month." We pass along fun facts about their personality, favorite treats, etc. We call them The Lavander Chicks. Mainly because each nesting box is stuffed with a mixture of dried lavender, herbs, and straw clippings. We believe in providing a calm environment for them to live in. It keeps the coop Zen and helps it smell fresh.
Organic Herbs & Vegetables
It's essential that we only grow organic. Organic food contains more vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and micronutrients than conventionally raised food. Be a green gardener using peat-free compost, natural fertilizers, and pesticides. The nutrient-rich soil and diverse mix of plants in our organic garden help create an ecosystem that benefits the surrounding environment, replenishing the soil, helping prevent erosion, and nurturing habitat for happy birds, bees, bats, and other beneficial critters.
Canning & Preserving
We enjoy canning and preserving as much of our organically grown food as possible. This skill was taught to us by the best. We follow our ancestors' instructions that have been passed down for generations.
Handmade Crafts & Upcycling
Crafting is a big thing in our family. It's a reminder that life is a constant learning process and that, even as adults, we can continue to cultivate our skills—and perhaps discover some new ones. Emotional - When you're immersed in a craft you enjoy, you focus on it and stop thinking (even for a little while), which can help reduce stress.
Support Local Wildlife
Plant native species and be kind to all the insects and birds that feed on flower nectar and pollinate the fruits. If you can, support local wildlife around your home by setting up bee hotels, bird boxes, ponds, and green roofs.
Community Yard Sales
What better way to meet your neighbors than to have a yard sale? When the weather is nice, we try to have sales any chance we get, and they are huge, multi-family sales. We have something for everyone: used items, new items, and, on occasion, handmade crafts.
